My name is Bassamba Sao, I am National Vice President with Arbonne international, Founder of Greatness Fitness. I came to the USA august 2000 on academic and athletic scholarship. I have played my years of sports and continued education. My plan always has been once one I financially independent, help someone else and the power of unity we all shall fulfill our purpose.

After 4 years in college in America, I went back home for the first time. It was fun and excited but what I saw immediately is that not much has changed since I left. The level of poverty was growing at an alarming speed and it wasn’t hard to notice. Children not more than 6 years spending the whole day outside near the roads begging to help their family and parents. That was heart breaking. Also watching women walking miles and miles to simply get clean water for their family and this was in the capital city. Could you imagine what it may look like in rural areas.

In 2010 I have been called and elected to play for the Men National team of Basket ball of Mali. It was an honor, we won and qualified for the cup of nations and all other qualifications but my heart was broken to see how the situation of the mass has been farther worsen. Something needed to be done. I knew deep inside of my heart that someone somewhere would understand the cry these children and the burden of all these women. SO we have decided to create MEANT TO BE UP UP TO ME. As the name states, its not a hand out organization but non profit with 501 c3 title to help and assist those who need a little boost until they get their lives together to help out too.
